The company says that it is now investigating reports sent by users
Some of the updates released by Microsoft on Patch Tuesday appear to be stuck in some sort of installation loop, with plenty of users confirming the issues on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and even 8.1.In a statement sent to Softpedia this morning, Microsoft confirmed that it’s indeed investigating the issues caused by KB2760411, KB2760588, and KB2760583 updates, but offered absolutely no workaround on how to deal with the problem until a fix is released.
“We’ve received reports of some customers experiencing issues when deploying some of September’s Office-related updates. We are investigating this issue and will act accordingly, to help ensure that our customers are protected,” Dustin Childs, group manager, Microsoft Trustworthy Computing, said in a statement.
In the meantime, users who want to temporarily fix the problems are recommended to uninstall the faulty updates and then hide them from the Windows Update section of the built-in Control Panel.
