Microsoft has recently released a new version of the OneNote Metro app for Windows 8, introducing finger drawing support on all builds of its latest operating system.

This feature is basically aimed at owners of touch-capable Windows 8 devices, such as the Surface RT and the Pro, as a pen or a stylus is not required.

“Inking with a pen still remains the preferred experience. You can flip between pen and touch without much hassle and pan the page more easily. If you are interested in doing a lot of inking or sketching we recommend that you get a device with a pen like a Surface Pro,” Microsoft explained.

Of course, the app continues to be compatible with all Windows 8 builds, so you can install it on both x86 and x64 versions, but also on Windows RT tablets.
