Apple continues to be number one in a new Interbrand chart

Microsoft has indeed launched two new products in the last 12 months, namely the Surface tablet and Windows 8, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the company is now worth more than before.

At least, that’s what a new Interbrand study is revealing, as Apple remains the most valuable brand in the world, followed by Google, Coca Cola, and IBM.

Unfortunately for the Redmond-based tech giant, Microsoft is only the fifth brand in the list, with the research claiming that the software giant is worth $59.5 billion (€43.9 billion).

The only good news is that Microsoft still manages to be ahead of companies such as Samsung, Intel, Oracle, Amazon, and eBay, all of which are worth a lot less than the tech firm. Facebook has reached position 52, after entering the top 100 for the first time last year.
