Redmond-based tech giant Microsoft continues its effort to bring products closer to buyers across the United States, this time with a new store opened in Salt Lake City.

The company confirms on the Microsoft Store Facebook page that even more are to follow in the coming weeks, including new locations in the Beachwood Place shopping Center in Ohio, as well as new stores in San Francisco and Miami.

Microsoft’s strategy pretty much makes sense, especially because the company is planning some new product refreshes as part of the Blue project.

According to sources familiar with the matter, Windows, SkyDrive, Internet Explorer, Office and many other Microsoft products are likely to get updates in the coming months, as the company is working on a new pack of improvements that could see daylight as soon as this summer.
