The company will release a new patch in the coming weeks

Just like most of its predecessors, the Surface Pro 3 is affected by a critical bug which kills Wi-Fi connectivity and thus makes it nearly impossible to browse the web with such a tablet.

Needless to say, this problem is extremely annoying, especially when taking into account that the top-of-the-range Pro 3 costs nearly $1,950 (1.500 euro) in the United States, so Microsoft has tried to address the flaw several times until now.

The problem is that all Microsoft’s workarounds have failed to fully address the issue, so many Pro 3 buyers are still losing wireless connectivity at random times.

That should be fixed soon, Microsoft says, as another patch will be released in the coming weeks to finally resolve the problem. The announcement was made on the Surface Pro 3 update history page today, and even though the company didn’t release new firmware on Patch Tuesday, all eyes are clearly on this critical fix.

The Surface Pro 3 is currently Microsoft’s top-of-the-range tablet and comes with a 12-inch screen, up to 8 GB of RAM, several CPU options ranging between Intel Core i3 and i7, and a maximum of 512 GB of storage space.

The tablet also comes with a very helpful digital pen for drawing and writing, but also with a new keyboard that also acts as a protective cover.
