February is very likely to bring Lumia Denim to users

Microsoft already revealed that Lumia Denim was expected to launch for Verizon's Lumia Icon in early 2015, but the company's announcement was pretty vague, so many users didn't actually know when the new firmware update would come out.

Joe Belfiore has taken to Twitter to share a few more details about this eagerly anticipated release, pointing out that Lumia Icon should be updated to Denim in January or February.

“Lumia icon people asking what I meant by ‘early 2015’: The first part of the year. In my mind that means jan/feb or so. Less likely March,” he said in a first tweet, adding that “know that Vzw & MS are actively, daily working on getting it done. The test process has unpredictability so we can't say a firm end date.”

Since we're already in February and March is very unlikely to bring Denim to Lumia Icons, this is very likely to be the month when the new firmware version would go out, but the company could very well push the release back in case something goes wrong.

In the meantime, Lumia Icon users aren't the only ones waiting for Denim to be released to their phones, as plenty of devices around the world are still on Cyan, despite the fact that the rollout started nearly two months ago.

Flagships are yet to be upgraded in all countries across the world, so it might seem like the preview version of Windows 10 for Phones might ship before the Denim firmware update for many users.
