Microsoft is now going through a major rebranding process, with several products getting critical redesigns, including the company’s very own logo.

Even though it’s yet to announce it publicly, it appears that the tech giant has also abandoned the “Be what’s next” slogan that it announced back in 2010.

According to Neowin.net, a search on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office reveals that Microsoft hasn’t decided to renew the trademark for this slogan, so it quietly expired on February 18.

While it’s not yet clear if the Softies are planning to embrace a new company slogan, it’s a well-known fact that Microsoft is working to migrate towards a devices and services approach that would bring it a major advantage in the fight with rival companies, such as Google and Apple.

The company has already launched its own tablets back in October and many more are to come this year, including smaller tablets featuring 8-inch displays.
