"Get ready to install Lumia Denim," Microsoft says

The Lumia Denim rollout was officially started yesterday in China and continues today with some phone models in Europe, so Microsoft has begun rolling out content to help users update their devices to the latest firmware version.

In a video released on YouTube, Microsoft confirms that Lumia Denim will soon become available to everyone, and highlights some of the features that will be included in this update, among which live folders, Cortana, and camera improvements.

At this point, Denim is rolling out only to a bunch of Lumia models across the world, so others will still have to wait a little bit longer to get the update.

For example, Lumia 930 and Lumia 1520 users are among those who could get frustrated with Microsoft’s plans, as both devices are flagships, but aren’t getting the Denim update these days. Lumia 520, on the other hand, which is the best-selling Windows Phone model to date, is now receiving the new firmware in several countries across the world, including Asia and Europe.

Right now, you have no other solution than wait for Microsoft to release the update for your phone too, so checking for updates periodically is the only option.

Also, you can keep an eye on this page to see when Denim becomes available in your country and for your carrier.
