Microsoft has finally completed development of a new Surface Pro 2 firmware update that’s supposed to correct all issues experienced by users after deploying the December 2013 release.

According to a short post belonging to Microsoft on the Surface Pro 2 update history page, UEFI firmware version 2.04.0350 was developed to “resolve behavior where the Surface failed to enter sleep while idle, negatively impacting battery life.”

The December 2013 Surface Pro 2 firmware update caused quite a lot of issues on Microsoft’s tablet, including errors experienced when trying to wake devices from sleep and battery life glitches cutting down autonomy to only a few hours.

Microsoft claims that all these problems should now be fixed by the new firmware update, so make sure you launch Windows Update and get this new version as soon as possible.
