Software maker Microsoft has just published a new bunch of improvements for Windows 8.1 Preview machines, thus trying to deliver fixes for some of the most important bugs found in the OS update.

The company rolled out a total of five different updates supposed to fix issues with Internet Explorer 11 Preview, Windows Store app stability after an update, notifications about the expiration date of the operating system and smart card PIN disclosure after an automatic restart for Windows Update.

All patches are automatically delivered via the integrated Windows Update, so no user interaction is required.

More fixes are very likely to be released in the coming weeks, as Microsoft has already confirmed that Windows 8.1 is projected to hit RTM in August, while the public launch could take place later this year.
