Microsoft has recently announced a bunch of improvements for its SkyDrive.com cloud storage service, including more HTML5 features for touch devices to make the browsing experience faster and more fluid.

Drag-and-drop features have been enhanced too, while users can now move files to anywhere in the hierarchy of the SkyDrive account by using the bread crumb bar as the target, the company said.

Those accessing the service from a touchscreen device can select one or multiple items by swiping on the item to the left or right, just like they usually do on Windows 8.

“We’ve unified all sharing-related info and tasks into a single screen. So now when you select a document and click Share in the command bar, you’ll see all the different ways to share the item as well as who has access,” Omar Shahine, group program manager, SkyDrive.com, said.
