The Softies have used this month’s Patch Tuesday updates to roll out a new firmware for the Surface Pro tablet, trying to improve specific features of the device released in February.

According to the official Surface Pro update history page, June 2013 updates come with improvements for the LifeCam driver to “enhance clarity for low light operation and improve reliability when switching between the integrated camera and an external camera.”

Just like the previous firmware updates, this new pack of improvements is being delivered to Surface Pro tablets through the integrated Windows Update option, so make sure you get your tablet online to download it.

Microsoft recommends users to fully recharge the device before deploying the new firmware, as running out of battery while installing the updates could completely brick the tablet.
