The new patches are addressing flaws found in the operating system

Microsoft has just released a new batch of Windows 8.1 Preview fixes, so users are now recommended to launch Windows Update and deploy them as soon as possible.

The three patches are supposed to fix issues in the operating system, including a stability bug spotted when users launch the SkyDrive application.

At the same time, Microsoft is also trying to repair a bug in Internet Explorer 11 that prevents VBScript code embedded on websites and associated with a timer from running, while the last update should fix a glitch causing the service metadata package belonging to specific network operators to crash.

More such batches of updates are expected in the coming weeks, as Microsoft is reportedly planning to push Windows 8.1 to RTM in August.

Word is that users could get it at about the same time because the Softies want to make sure that more Windows 8.1 devices are here in time for the holiday season.
