Microsoft has just released a bunch of improvements for the Sports app available in the Windows 8 operating system, adding not only content from additional partners, but also several performance enhancements to allow the program to run smoother on all devices.

The new Sports app now comes with several new soccer leagues, including UK League 1, UK League 2, Bundesliga 2, Dutch Eredivisie, Argentina Primera Division, Portugal Primeira League and Australian A League.

Of course, the app continues to be available for all Windows 8 platforms, including x86, x64 and ARM builds, so it’s also compatible with tablets running Windows RT.

As you probably know by now, it comes with a great feature package including news, scores, schedules, statistics, teams, standings and support for live tiles to show the newest information right in the Start Screen.
