Microsoft has just released a new patch for Internet Explorer 11 running on Windows 8.1, trying to fix a number of issues in the latest version of its browser.

Redmond hasn’t provided too many details on the errors that are supposed to be fixed, but the patch is now being delivered to Windows 8.1 consumers via Windows Update, which means that no user interaction is required.

According to Microsoft, the update is aimed at Windows 8.1, Windows 8.1 Enterprise, Windows 8.1 Pro, Windows RT 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter, Windows Server 2012 R2 Essentials, Windows Server 2012 R2 Foundation, and Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard.

Internet Explorer 11 is the default browser in Windows 8.1, but Microsoft has promised to release it as an optional download for Windows 7 users in the coming months.
