Microsoft last week started a new promo for Windows 8.1 applications, promising to offer major discounts to users of its latest operating system via a new campaign called “Red Stripe Deals.”

Today, Redmond released some new price cuts for three of the apps listed in the store, allowing users to purchase Halo: Spartan Assault for $3.49 (€2.56), FlightRadar24 for $1.49 (€1.10) and Hills of Glory 3D for $1.99 (€1.46).

“Get the apps and games you want at discounts of 50 percent or more! Be sure to check back each week for new Red Stripe Deals,” Microsoft says in the store.

New apps are included in the Red Stripe Deals campaign every Thursday and Microsoft promises that both games and software tools will be part of the promo. Of course, all these apps are compatible with both desktops and tablets, so you can play it on Surface RT devices as well.
