Microsoft has officially launched a new promo for the Surface RT, this time in an attempt to clear out inventories ahead of the public debut of the second-generation unit.

As you can see on Microsoft’s official website, the Surface RT 32 GB (tablet only) is now priced at $349 (€267), while the 64 GB model comes with a price tag of $449 (€345). Packages that include a Touch Cover are available for $449 / €345 (32 GB) and for $549 / €420 (64 GB).

There’s no discount for the available accessories, so the Surface Type Cover continues to be available for $129.99 (€99), while the Touch Cover costs $119.99 (€91.99).

Word is that Microsoft is getting ready to debut the second-generation Surface tablet that would also include an 8-inch device running Windows 8.1. The unveiling is projected to take place in October, just ahead of the holiday season.
