More vids put the spotlight on Surface 3

Microsoft has just rolled out a batch of videos highlighting the capabilities of its new Surface 3 tablet, despite the fact that everyone's hoping to hear something about the brand new laptop replacement possibly called Surface Pro 4.

These new videos put some specific features of the Surface 3 in the spotlight, including its reduced weight and the built-in kickstand, and they are supposed to show students that this 2-in-1 device is actually more portable than a laptop, while doing the exact same things.

The Surface 3 comes with a 10.8-inch screen, a built-in kickstand, a removable keyboard, up to 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space, Wi-Fi, support for digital pens, and runs Windows 8.1, with full support for Windows 10 when the new OS becomes available.

As far as the Surface Pro 4 is concerned, nobody knows exactly when it is supposed to show up, but people close to the matter indicated that it could launch together with Windows 10 when the new OS is ready this summer.

Some reports indicated that Microsoft planned to release the Surface Pro 4 in May, but they were obviously false, so the device is now expected to launch later this year.

Microsoft isn't saying anything about the Pro 4, but it's pretty clear that the device would arrive very soon as a pioneer of the new Windows 10 operating system.
