As part of the Patch Tuesday update cycle, Microsoft has also rolled out a set of improvements for Windows 7, thus trying to fix some of the bugs it recently found in the operating system.

The KB2830477 update for Windows 7 is available in multiple languages and comprises three different fixes supposed to “improve the Windows 7 experience,” as Microsoft claims.

“These updates (*.msu) provide a collection of performance and reliability improvements that are designed to improve the Windows 7 experience. We recommend that you apply all of these updates as part of your regular maintenance routines. Failure to install all of the packages listed above could leave your machine in an untested state,” it noted.

At this point, Windows 7 is the world’s number one operating system, as it’s installed on more than 45 percent of computers worldwide.

Windows XP comes second with a 30 percent market share, but Windows 7 remains the number one destination of those who decide to make the move from the 12-year-old OS to a newer platform.
