Microsoft keeps improving the built-in Metro apps as the launch of Windows 8.1 is approaching, thus trying to make sure that all users are provided with the best possible experience.

The Sports app is one of the latest that received updates, and even though Microsoft hasn’t provided some new release notes for this build, it’s expected to address bugs and improve performance on both Windows 8 and Windows RT.

“The Sports app, powered by Bing, makes it easy for you to keep up with all the sports and teams you care about. Designed for Windows, the Sports app puts control at your fingertips,” the app description now reads.

The update is aimed at both Windows 8 and Windows RT workstations and can be installed free of charge on all devices.
