Xbox Music has received a new update this morning on Windows 8

Microsoft is set to unveil the new Windows 8.1 on October 18, so the company is now shipping the latest updates to Windows 8 users across the world to prepare their computers for the big launch.

Xbox Music received an update this morning, getting improvements and fixes to the cloud collection experience, as the official release notes point out.

While no other details have been provided, Microsoft is trying to prepare Xbox Music for the upcoming debut of Windows 8.1 that’s also projected to bring a major redesign for this particular app as well.

Windows 8.1 will go live on October 18, with users who already deployed Windows 8 to be allowed to download it for free from the Store. The price of a standalone license is $119.99 (€90) for the basic version and $199.99 (€150) for the Pro package.
