The Redmond-based giant continues its fight against Google

We’ve all heard about Microsoft’s anti-Google attempts, including the Scroogled campaign and the other attacks on Twitter and in blog posts, but the Windows maker is now trying something a bit different. And funnier, that is.

To refresh your memory, Google announced more than three years ago that it’s looking for a town in the US to test a fast Internet connection, often called Google Fiber, which could provide local users with the best Internet experience in the entire world.

The mayor of Topeka, Kansas changed the name of his city to “Google” for a month, trying to show the search giant that it deserves to be picked for its ultrafast Internet connection test. The company, on the other hand, selected Kansas City and the mayor’s dream was ruined.

Now Microsoft is trying to continue its anti-Google effort with a Bing commercial filmed in Topeka, according to a report by CJOnline.com, as the company plans to interview ordinary people about their search engine preferences and show that Bing is actually the better choice.

The first commercials will be aired in May, as Microsoft has already launched a new Scroogled campaign against its long-time rival Google, so keep an eye on Softpedia to be among the first to see it.
