The official SkyDrive client for Windows has just received an update, but Microsoft is yet to provide us with the release note for this particular build.

Given the fact that we’re getting closer to the public debut of Windows 8.1, the new SkyDrive version most likely comprises bug fixes and stability improvements, which means that the app should work a bit faster and be more stable.

Specifically aimed at desktop users, the SkyDrive client can get along with basically every single version of Windows that’s still supported by Microsoft, including Vista, 7, and 8. Both 32- and 64-bit builds are supported.

Windows 8 consumers who wish to use the Metro interface can also download a dedicated version specifically aimed at Microsoft’s new operating system.
