The New York Times removes paywall for all published clips

Microsoft and Acura have signed a sponsorship deal with The New York Times that basically removes the paywall for the available video content and provides visitors with free access to all clips.

As you know, visitors are limited to a maximum of 10 free articles per month, but watching clips on the website won’t affect this limitation.

“As we continue to tell stories through video and increase our offerings, we want to ensure NYTimes.com users can watch and explore our video content with ease. We are grateful to Acura and Microsoft for providing the support we need to continue to expand our best-in-class video content and deliver it to our vast NYTimes.com audience,” Denise Warren, executive vice president, Digital Products and Services Group, The New York Times, said.

Of course, Microsoft will use the sponsorship deals to display in-video advertisements for some of its latest products, including Windows 8 and Surface tablets.
