Microsoft has recently filed a legal complaint against Dymin Systems of Urbandale for selling unlicensed and uncertified copies of Windows Vista, according to a new report.

Scott Breitman, president of the 17-person refurbished PC selling business, said in a statement that he received a letter from Microsoft more than six months ago to stop selling refurbished computers running Windows Vista, but somehow more computers were shipped.

Dymin has since started installing refurbished licenses of Windows 7 for all used PCs, Channelnomics writes, so Breitman hopes to settle the lawsuit because Redmond could easily run his company of business.

“In our opinion, we’re been in compliance since receiving the letter [from Microsoft]. It just took a couple of days to turn the ship,” Breitman said. “We hope to settle this. I don’t think Microsoft wants to run us out of business.”

In case you’re wondering, Windows Vista currently has a market share of 3.61, enough to make it the fourth top OS worldwide, after Windows 7 (47.52 percent), Windows XP (28.98 percent), and Windows 8 (6.89 percent).
