Microsoft’s Surface tablet apparently enjoyed an impressive success in its first days on the market, as the most affordable version got sold out in less than 24 hours after the company rolled out the pre-order program.

But FBR Capital Markets analyst Craig Berger said that Microsoft’s first tablet ever isn’t such an impressive product when it comes to sales.

In fact, sales of the Surface tablet have actually been “disappointing,” he said according to ZDNet and it even “underwhelmed expectations.”

Microsoft is yet to disclose some official stats concerning the Surface tablet, but the company is now getting ready for the debut of Surface Pro, an upgraded version of the device that runs Windows 8 Pro and legacy Windows apps.
