Both the Surface Pro and the Surface RT are affected by a limited Wi-Fi connectivity issue that prevents users from accessing the Internet with their tablets but, while Microsoft is still working on a fix, owners have found a temporary workaround.

According to a long Microsoft Answers thread, toggling airplane mode on and off could fix the issue for a limited period of time and, given the fact that the company is still struggling to develop a permanent patch, such a solution might come in very handy.

“Turn on airplane mode on and after few minutes turn it off. I hope this helps,” one of the affected users explained in a short post.

Microsoft initially promised to provide users with an update to address this glitch on last month’s Patch Tuesday cycle, but several owners are still reporting the problem after deploying the patches.
