Microsoft’s first tablet in history, the Surface RT, is also the number one Windows 8/RT device currently on the market, according to data provided by AdDuplex.

Stats collected from its advertising network are indicating that Microsoft’s Surface with Windows RT currently has a market share of 6.2 percent, while HP Pavilion g6 reached the second spot with 3.7 percent.

Another HP device, this time Pavilion g7, comes third with a market share of only 1.8 percent.

Microsoft’s Surface Pro, the upgraded tablet running the full version of Windows 8, hasn’t made the top ten, but instead it is placed on the 23rd position.

Even though this may sound rather disappointing, keep in mind that the Surface Pro is only available in the United States, Canada and China exclusively, with more countries expected to get the tablet by the end of May.
