Microsoft now has two different devices running Windows 8 and Windows RT on the market, so the company most likely expects to see more users embracing its new operating systems.

According to data published by AdDuplex and collected before March 22, the RT version of the Surface remains the number one device running the new platform with a 6.2 percent share worldwide, followed by HP Pavilion g6 with 3.8 percent and HP 2000 with 3.6 percent.

While the Surface Pro has failed to enter the top 10, the device managed to increase its popularity and climb on the 25th position, up from the 52nd place in the previous stats.

As for the United States, 90 percent of the Surface buyers are using the RT version, while only 10 percent have managed to get their hands on a Pro model.
