Microsoft officially rolled out the Surface with Windows 8 Pro on Saturday and less than 3 hours after launch, the device was listed as “sold out” on the official website of the company.

The Redmond-based technology giant issued a statement to inform that it’s working with partners to replenish supplies as fast as possible, as customer response to the launch “has been amazing.”

“Customer response to the launch of Surface Pro has been amazing. We’re working with our retail partners who are currently out of stock of the 128GB Surface Pro to replenish supplies as quickly as possible. Our priority is to ensure that every customer gets their new Surface Pro as soon as possible,” Panos Panay, the head of the Surface division at Microsoft, said.

The Surface Pro is currently available not only at the official Microsoft Stores, but also at Staples and Best Buy in the United States and at Future Shop and Best Buy in Canada.
