Microsoft is really keen on making its cloud business very successful, so the company today rolled out a new advertisement to showcase the real power of its services, including Azure and Dynamics.

The company turned to Formula 1 to demonstrate how good its cloud products actually are for a wide array of purposes, especially when it comes to collaboration, data analysis, and communication.

Azure, Office 365 and Dynamics are all promoted during a 30-second spot showcasing the Lotus Formula 1 racing team collecting and analyzing data from a racing car currently on track, pointing out that all services provide excellent reliability and performance in extreme conditions.

Of course, the cloud business is extremely important for Microsoft, as the company continues its migration towards devices and services, a new patch started by former CEO Steve Ballmer in August 2013 and supposed to be completed this year by the new CEO Satya Nadella.

The cloud business is also one of the main focuses of the new board, as the company leadership is being pressured by shareholders to switch the focus from Windows to other key products, such as Office and cloud.

Microsoft is also rumored to be preparing a number of changes to its cloud services, including a rebranding of Windows Azure to Microsoft Azure. A public announcement on this is expected these days.
