Microsoft has been pretty quiet on Internet Explorer in the last few months, but the company has apparently started a new promotional campaign on Twitter.
Several company accounts are now praising Internet Explorer features, pointing out that Microsoft’s in-house browser can do things that you didn’t know were possible in such an application.
“What if Internet Explorer could show you things you didn’t think were possible for a web browser?” one of the tweets reads. “Multitask with Internet Explorer on Windows 8.1. Browse the web and Skype with your friends,” another one adds.
Internet Explorer is also expected to receive some minor improvements in Windows 8.1 Update 1, the upcoming pack of improvements prepared for Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1 devices. A so-called enterprise mode could be soon added, and so are some other options to improve the overall experience.
