The Winter Games are kicking off today in Sochi, Russia, so Microsoft wanted to make the most of this opportunity by rolling out another important update for its Bing search engine.

The service has been enhanced with event schedules, athletes’ career highlights and a real-time medal tally, so you can easily keep track of the competition straight from the results page.

“Bing will respond with a rundown of the scheduled competition directly in the search results. And if you’re more interested in tracking particular athletes, enter their name into the search box and Bing will pop out their schedule. Get up to speed with favorite athletes through a new timeline feature that gives a quick chronological list of the athlete’s career highlights,” Microsoft explained.

In addition, you can also type “Winter Olympics Metal Tally” to check out statistics regarding a particular country or athlete, with Bing to display all details right on the results page.

Microsoft has also promised to roll out some high-quality wallpapers on the Bing home page, so you might want to give this search engine a try in the coming days.
