Microsoft has just rolled out a brand new version of the recently-launched Halo: Spartan Assault game for Windows 8, providing adopters of its latest OS with several improvements.

Even though the company hasn't offered a detailed changelog of what's new in this fresh release, it's safe to assume that Microsoft has paid extra attention to bugs and issues, so expect the game to run smoother and faster on both Windows 8 and Windows RT.

It continues to rely on the same feature package, so you get the same 25 levels, weapons, vehicles, and armor abilities, as well as support for Xbox Live to compete against friends.

The game is already experiencing a terrific success in the Store, so make sure you give it a try as soon as possible.
