Microsoft has just released updates for the Windows 8 “News” and “Finance” Modern apps, two of the tools included in every version of the company’s new operating system.

The “News” application has been improved with content from additional partners, but also with support for mouse and keyboard for article viewing. The release notes reveal that the updated version also integrates performance enhancements, as well as support for regional sources.

The “Finance” tool, on the other hand, features improved navigation, videos and several performance updates.

In addition, the app comes with content from some new partners and additional exchange options.

As usual, the updates are being delivered through the integrated Windows Store, so users have nothing else to do than to launch this Windows 8 feature and check the “Updates” section. Both updates are available on all Windows 8 platforms, including x86, x64 and ARM builds.
