If you're on Windows 8.1 already, you might want to launch the Windows Store and look for app updates, as Microsoft appears to be starting a new release cycle that includes its Bing programs.

The first in this new series is Bing Travel which received an update today on both Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1. There are no release notes for this particular version, so it's safe to assume that Microsoft was mostly focused on fixing bugs and addressing performance issues.

The feature lineup remains unchanged, so you still can find destinations across the world and read reviews from travel experts, tips, and photos from other travelers, search flights and filter booking options, find hotels, watch panoramas and slideshows, read news, and share content with friends.

“The Bing Travel app helps you explore the world and plan a perfect trip, from destinations near you to far-flung getaways. Our travel tools make it easy to search and book flights and hotel reservations, then check essentials like flight status while you’re on the go,” the app description reads.

Overall, there's no doubt that this update comes in very handy to all users, so download Bing Travel for Windows 8 right now to see what's new in this fresh version.
