Microsoft has already launched several special edition mice to showcase the work of various artists across the world, and according to new Bluetooth listings, another such device could be launched in the coming weeks.

A post on Bluetooth SIG reveals that Microsoft is preparing a new Designer Mouse with Bluetooth 4.0, that was approved on February 13, but no other details are available for now.

Most likely, the new model would be a variation of the Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500 and would come in the form of a limited edition with a special design, probably belonging to a new artist and that Microsoft wants to showcase on a new mouse.

In case you're wondering, the Wireless Mobile Mouse 3500, if this is indeed the model that Microsoft wants to use for the new limited edition, comes with USB support and works with all Windows versions on the market. The new designer edition, however, will include Bluetooth compatibility, so you won't need the small USB dongle to connect it to your laptop.

Needless to say, the new mouse would be a great way to stand out from the crowd when working on your laptop, so let's just hope that an announcement on this comes out very soon. As far as pricing is concerned, don't expect it to be expensive at all, so a price tag of around $50 (€37) is very likely.
