Microsoft has just launched a new design for its official website, just in time for the Windows 8 debut that will take place on October 25.

The company relies on the same Modern UI that will be introduced in Windows 8, confirming that it plans to move most (if not all) of its products to the new design.

Recently, Live Mail was renamed to Outlook.com and received the same facelift as Microsoft.com, getting a GUI that brings it in line with the upcoming Windows 8.

Of course, the content available on Microsoft’s official website hasn’t changed, but it seems to be focused a bit more on new products, as both Windows 8 and Outlook.com are promoted with the help of live tiles right on the index page.
