Although it’s affected by an increasing number of bugs, Microsoft’s Surface is currently the number one Windows 8 device on the market, according to a report released by AdDuplex.

The Surface holds the number one position with 11 percent of the Windows 8 industry, while HP’s Pavilion G6 Notebook PC comes second with only 2 percent.

There are several devices with 1 percent in the AdDuplex top, including HP’s Pavilion DV6 Notebook PC, Dell Inspiron N5110, HP Pavilion G7 and a couple of units from Samsung.

“That said we had hits from almost 3 thousand different devices running Windows 8 (or Windows RT) in a single day,” AdDuplex said in a blog post, pointing out that the number of Windows 8 devices is continuously increasing these days.

“If you’d like to go for a negative spin on these stats, I’d say that it shows most of the Store app usage happens on tablets and not so much on “traditional” PCs.”
