Microsoft has just announced its financial results for the second quarter of 2013, revealing that it generated no less than $19.90 billion (€15.18 billion) in revenue and $4.97 billion (€3.79 billion) in net income.

The Windows division in particular has performed pretty well given the decline of the PC market, posting an increase of 6 percent as compared to Q2 2012 and reaching revenues of $4.411 billion (€3.357 billion).

The Business division grew by 14 points to $7.213 billion (€5.5 billion), while the Server and Tools unit experienced a 9 percent increase to $5.502 billion (€4.197 billion).

The Entertainment and Devices Division has also managed to increase its Q2 2012 figures by 8 points to reach revenues of $1.915 billion (€1.460 billion), while the Online Services Division reported revenues of $804 million (€613 million), up nine percent from the same period of 2012.

Microsoft claims that its financial results have actually been affected by the continuous collapse of the PC industry and expects improved figures for the next quarter.
