Just as we told you yesterday, Microsoft has updated several Windows 8 apps, including the Finance, News, Maps, Sports, and Travel, all of which have received several improvements and bug fixes.

The Weather app, on the other hand, will get its pack of enhancements later this week, as Microsoft plans to introduce support for dynamically moving weather maps for many locations across the world.

In addition, the company is working to improve satellite, temperature, precipitation, cloud cover, and radar information, so the Weather app is in the pipeline to receive a great amount of improvements that could allow it to compete against full-featured apps such as AccuWeather and The Weather Channel.

As usual, the updates will be delivered via the integrated Windows Store, so keep an eye on Softpedia to find out when the new Weather version is available for download.
