The jailbreak community continues its efforts to recompile apps for Microsoft’s tablet-oriented operating system, so another software solution is now working on jailbroken Windows RT devices.

Miranda IM, a popular multi-protocol IM client, has been recompiled to run on unlocked tablets, with no bugs reported so far.

IRC, MSN, and Google Talk protocols work just fine, the developer behind this project said, but the other services are also very likely to run smoothly.

More applications are now added to the list with software solutions to be recompiled in the near future to work on jailbroken Windows RT tablets, while Microsoft refuses to talk about the hack. The company had previously applauded the developers behind the entire project, but sources familiar with the matter are now suggesting that the company may after all block the jailbreak.
