One of the features that Microsoft has been working on lately is the possibility of buying and download movies and TV shows from the Windows 10 store, but until now, this option was locked in the technical preview builds.

But as WMPU notes, this particular section has gotten an update today, so in addition to apps and games, the store now provides you with access to movies & TV shows as well.

Previously, it was believed that only the store in the leaked build 10051 comes with video content, but it looks like the very latest build 10049 has also unlocked this section of the store, which could be an indication that Microsoft is advancing with work on the store.

As you can see in these screenshots, the available video content is organized in several categories, so it’s easy to find something new to watch. It goes without saying, you need to attach a credit card or PayPal account to your Windows Store account in order to make purchases.

The Windows Store is also getting a refresh in Windows 10, so this new functionality is only available in the beta version included in the Technical Preview.

Microsoft might be working to add even more features, besides movies and TV shows, so expect some other improvements to be released before mid-2015, when the operating system is due to make its public debut.
