A few months ago, NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang asked what he called the “Outlook gods” to help Microsoft bring Outlook to Windows RT and thus make the tablet-oriented OS a much appealing choice for everybody.

Fast forward to June 2013 and the Outlook 2013 RT client is almost here, which made NVIDIA praise the Outlook gods for making its wish come true.

“Apparently they listened,” NVIDIA’s Mark Aevermann said in a post.

“This is an exciting development that we believe will deliver a much more robust and full-featured experience to Windows RT users, including those with the Microsoft Surface RT, Lenovo Yoga 11 and ASUS VivoTab RT, which are all powered by NVIDIA Tegra 3.”

Outlook 2013 RT will come together with Windows 8.1 RT and will be available in desktop mode exclusively. Users who wish to stick to the Metro UI have no other choice than to continue relying on the Mail Metro app.
