Microsoft has indeed announced at BUILD 2013 that Windows 8.1 is set to reach RTM this month, but the company has until now remained completely tight lipped on details regarding its OS update.

While screenshots keep reaching the web to show some of the changes that might be part of the new release, a photo that got leaked a few minutes ago seems to confirm once again that Windows 8.1 RTM is done.

Just like the other screenshots, this picture indicates that Windows 8.1 build 9600 is the version that got RTMd last Friday, so expect the same one to be launched on October 18 too.

In the meantime, Microsoft is very likely to continue work on Windows 8.1, as the company is trying to provide a bug-free operating system that has higher chances of posting record sales than the stand-alone Windows 8.
