Norton Antivirus is one of the first security tools that got updated to work on Windows 8.1 Preview, but a new beta version released today has a few glitches when installed on Microsoft’s new OS update.

Version 2014 21.0.0.89 Beta is now available for download for all Windows users but, as far as 8.1 adopters are concerned, a few glitches might be experienced during installation.

According to Symantec, Windows 8.1 consumers will be provided with a “Program Compatibility Assistant” when installing the beta product or when launching it. Simply select the “Run the program without getting help” to bypass the error, the company recommends.

At the same time, “Identity Safe Login window may not display properly after launching and closing Settings screen,” Symantec explained.
