14 DAY TRIAL // If we are to trust the rumors that are spreading online right now, Microsoft might be working to bring Android apps on Windows 10, and while there's no official statement in this regard, there are several signs that such an idea is at least under consideration.
A recent job ad spotted by @h0x0d and published by myce reveals that Microsoft is now looking for a new Senior Program Manager that could act as “a game changer in bringing more apps to Windows platform.”
It's a well-known fact that the lack of apps continues to be one of the main issues of Microsoft's modern platforms, on both the desktop and the phone, so with the help of the new employee, the company might attempt to address this once again. How exactly? Possibly by bringing Android apps on Windows.
“We are looking for a Senior Program Manager with expertise on Windows as well as competitors app platforms,” the job ad reads. “We are enabling an app platform that can enrich Windows in incredibly fast and efficient ways for our developers.”
Of course, no clear details have been provided, but given the fact that the new Senior Program Manager is going to work in the Operating Systems division, there's no doubt that Microsoft is up to something really exciting for its users.
More details on the way the company is planning to tackle the lack of apps will probably be provided in a few months, possibly in April, at the BUILD developer conference in San Francisco.
