The Redmond-based technology giant Microsoft has just launched an updated version of Skype for Windows 8 that comes with several improvements and bug fixes.

The new version is being delivered via the integrated Windows Store and brings an enhanced Snap view for smarter multi-tasking, according to the official release notes of the application.

In addition, Skype for Windows 8 has received several performance improvements, as well as some undisclosed bug fixes that are all supposed to make the app run smoother on the new operating system.

Those who wish to download and install the updated version only need to launch the Windows Store and check the “Updates” section. The built-in Windows Store takes care of the entire updating process, so you have nothing else to do than to select “Skype” and hit the “Install” button.
