Windows 8.1 Preview will bring quite a lot of improvements for Windows 8 devices, including the utterly-popular Start button that was removed back in October 2012.

Even though the software maker said a few weeks ago that it would allow users to disable the new Start button, just in case they like the new interface of Windows 8, it turns out that such an option is still unavailable in the leaked builds of the operating system.

What’s more, Windows Server 2012 R2 Preview, the Blue update of the server platform, doesn’t include an option to disable the Start button, which could be another indication that Windows 8.1 Preview adopters might be forced to use the new feature.

Of course, more details will be provided in just a few hours, as Microsoft is set to showcase the operating system at the BUILD developer conference in San Francisco.
