The official Nook for Windows 8 app released by Barnes & Noble has just received an update to support Microsoft accounts.
Even though that may sound like a useless improvement for some users, it’s actually a pretty helpful feature supposed to simplify the overall reading and shopping experience when running the app on a touch device with Windows 8.
Of course, the app continues to be available for free, offering support for all Windows 8 builds, including x86, x64 and ARM.
The program claims that it provides access to more than 1 million free titles, but also to over 3 million Nook books, magazines, newspapers and comics, all optimized for Windows 8 computers.
